I just love my weekend preps! That's because I can make whatever frozen meals or dish I want and this time, it's my Ugly Dumplings.
Why I call it Ugly Dumplings?
Because no matter how many times I practiced and watched the tutorials, I can never ever get the shape right or nice to see. So I finally settled to called it MY UGLY DUMPLINGS!
As long as its nice and edible, I am good! Hahahaha. Tastes matters to me more than visual, though to a certain extend.
PEACE YO!
So if you wonder how and where I got all this energy from, it's because I don't wanna get BP again!
EVER!
It was traumatic, tiring and troublesome for the people around me all.
But here's the recipe for my Ugly Dumplings if you ever wanna try make yourself. Tweak and Twerk around to your own taste okays! Then share with me in the comment below your own recipe. 😊
INGREDIENTS
*1 packet of Round Wanton Skin
1 packet of Boneless Chicken Leg (cut into small pieces)
3pcs Carrot (can be opt out)
1pc Egg
4 tbsp Tapioca Flour
2 tbsp Chicken Stock Powder
1pc Garlic
4 tbsp Sesame Oil
4 tsp Black Pepper
4 tsp White Pepper
4 tsp Basil Flakes
1 tsp Salt
OPTIONAL
2 tbsp BonChilli Spicy Chilli Powder (more if you want it to be more spicy or use the black bottle type)

INSTRUCTIONS
Cut out the whole packet of Boneless Chicken Leg into small pieces, as small as possible. (You may use other types of chicken parts if you'd like but I have always preferred the Boneless Chicken Leg.)
Chop the carrots into small pieces.
Mix all the ingredients into a big bowl except the Wanton Skin of course.
Blend the mixed ingredients in batches with water - DO NOT use too much water as this will make the mixture too watery after. (Do not blend too much at one time as this will spoil your blender - trust me because I spoiled 2 of my blenders while making this the very first time!)
Mix the blended chicken paste to ensure that every ingredient is even out.
Take a piece of the Round Wanton Skin and place it on your palm.
Take a teaspoon full of the chicken paste and place it on top of the wanton skin - not too much and not too little either.
Take the end of the wanton skin and squeeze the sides together (this is why I call it ugly dumplings coz I can never get the shape right) - up to you how you wanna cover your dumpling from here on.
Stack it into a Tupperware or container of your choice (remember to place a plastic sheet on every layer so that that wanton does not stick to each other.)
Keep it in the freezer for up to two weeks.
Fry them and have it with Chilli Oil or Steam them and have it with the Thai Green Sauce.
