This story is about Lee Young-joon, the rich vice-chairman of Yumyung Group who can’t figure out why his secretary, Kim Mi-so, decided to resign from her position after nine long years.
Lee Young-joon is handsome and capable, but his narcissism makes it difficult for Kim Mi-so to work with him. He just can’t accept her resignation as she was basically good at everything she does and is just irreplaceable. As he realizes this, he began doing everything that he could in his power to make her stay.
At one point in his life, he suffered PTSD. Young-joon deals with a past trauma where he cannot tolerate any cable ties.
On the other hand, Kim Mi-so is a highly skilled secretary who has worked with Young-joon for nine years, also goes through a certain trauma where she fears red heels.
As their relationship starts to evolve, Mi-so finds out that she and Young-joon have been connected since childhood. They both were kidnapped by a woman. However, Young-joon saves both of them by using his presence of mind. At that time, Mi-so made him promise that when they grow up they must marry each other.
So what happens to them?
Well, when they grow up, Kim Mi-so gets a job at Young-joon’s office where he works as the vice president. She becomes his secretary, more like his shadow. But when she decides to resign, he starts to feel anxious. And in the process of persuading her Young-joon becomes aware of his feelings towards Mi-so after realizing that he might lose her.
He can be jealous of Mi-so when she is with his brother or with someone other than him. Mi-so soon reciprocates Young-joon's feelings after realizing that he was a part of her childhood.
Do Kim Mi-so and Lee Young-joon get married?
Young-joon arranges the perfect proposal for Mi-so. She says 'YES' to him and their drama ends with a fairytale wedding. Their cute camaraderie before the wedding won millions of hearts who watched the series. While Park Seo-joon looked absolutely dapper in his black suit, Park Min-young exuded absolute beauty in her white dress. She was just perfect. Their pair-up was everything that we needed!
