Ondeh Ondeh Sliced Cake

I have this love hate relationship with this one cake that's so annoyingly nice but still annoys the heck out of me.

I use to not like all this traditional kuihs being reinvented into cakes but...

This is one cake that I shall give it a slight pass IF its deliciously delicious!

The Ondeh Ondeh cake.

For most that I have tried, I still love the one that Mother brings back from Arab Street.

But since its a whole huge sliced cake and so far away (I hate going there).

I settled for one of the Yishun Mummies' who bakes and live 2 bus stops away from our place.

A petite humble lady who does baking whenever she feels like it - Hahahaha. Sorry Mai.

Anyway, she's so sweet and so so super patient with me.

Am I lucky or what to get all patient vendors to deal with though I am such a difficult person to deal with!

So ya, I ordered her Ondeh Ondeh Sliced Cake (since its for the dessert table and satu kali masuk mulut senang kan).

We didn't have a fridge yet back then so SHE DELIVERED IT WITH HER SMALL KIDS early morning of the event without charging me the extra fee!

Why you people so kind and nice!

I got to eat 1 slice.

ONE SLICE ONLY because its sweet yet satisfyingly delicious.

Its just right for me because its sweet but if I recall it right, I was STOPPED by Mother to STOP 'stealing' food from the dessert table!

Hahahaha.

Yes, I was chased away.

Kesiankan!

That's why I got to eat only 1 slice.

And hey.

Even the other Yishun Mummies who came by (Thank you Mummies!), asked for it and lucky still have.

That's because I was stopped to eat it up.

Sad much! Really!

Wanted to order during our Raya Open House but Mother said no need because I order Eclairs and Tapak Kuda already later nobody eat my kuih!

You gotta try her Nutella Bombs because they are THE BOMBS!

I bought them for the boys once but I ended up eating more than them.

Like I use to mention in my Nutella Tart post - you CANNOT separate me with Nutella!

I'm still thinking should I order them bombs for our next event but I already have full dessert list.

Hmmm.
