Powered by JOMRUN, I am utterly disappointed by the whole event, pre-planning and everything.
I didn't want to go for it but at the same time wanted the elder boys to join in so I just went ahead and booked for four of us including Biscuit aka Mother's favourite boy. Zzzzz~~~ This one another old man, read below to find out why laaaa!
So I booked online via website because we were trying to rush to get the "early bird" price of $68.88 per pax (damn crazy expensive) - but for the boys, just go je laaaa~~~! Booked for all four of us only not to find the e-Ticket in the JomRun app. So I thought, "Okay nevermind, maybe need 1 day to reflect at least."
A day went by but no e-ticket in the app on my mobile phone. Waited for another week still the same, and waited for another till I was damn pissed off and texted the organizer at their Instagram on both Official app and Singapore app. No reply. So I sent out an email. Contacted them through email, after a day, the e-ticket was reflected on my phone app BUT IT WAS ONLY MINE! So where's the other 3 e-tickets! I couldn't be bothered anymore at this point of time because I was already annoyed when I realized that the Chibi Maruko Chan Run is held on the same day at the same time and the same location!
Another planning they failed was collection of race kit pack! Which other organizer issues out race kit packs ONE DAY BEFORE EVENT DAY AT EVENT LOCATION!? Not everyone wants to not wash the shirts issued! All the runs I went to, they issue it out a week before at least. And guess what, they were still packing the race kit packs when we went over to collect - aren't you supposed to have already packed them before you bring them over for us to collect?
And BOOM! The QR codes I received via email couldn't be scanned so I had to MANUALLY KEY IN ALL OUR INDIVIDUAL NAMES ONTO THEIR MOBILE PHONE USED TO SCAN THE QR CODES! What the FISH!
That aside, the elder boys were excited for the run the next day and I was like, "Okay, as long as the boys are okay and happy, nothing else matters." JUST MOVE ON!
Went to have Fried Chicken Master - not sure why but it became a MUST VIST TO SUNTEC CITY outlet if I were to go to Marina Barrage. Hahahaha. Maybe because it's the only outlet that offers dine-in! Sadly, Yishun outlet is not dine-in but the same like Tampines outlet - Takeaway only!

Then the bulat boy said, "Mummy, can I get new running shoe for tomorrow. I cannot fit this shoe anymore." He was wearing my shoe - UK5 for KIDS by the way. Yaaaa! I have small legs. Lol. Called their Dad to meet us at Changi City Point, because I saw the MRT for Downtown Line (Blue Colour) heads all the way to EXPO. I clever already take MRT colour-colour okays! Hehehehe. But still got lost for awhile when looking for Suntec at Promenade exit - because it was the wrong exit!
Got his shoe and we head over to Decathlon at Tampines. They broke their Dad's wallet just for that run they were looking forward to. Hahahaha. They broke mine for dinner at Fried Chicken Master anyways. Why do boys eat alot!

The day for the run came. Woke up an hour later than planned and we rushed to get ready, went out at 6.30am instead of 6am! Because why? Because I couldn't sleep and slept at 3am instead. Hahaha. But its okay, we can do this!

Walked over to catch the train as fast as we could because knowing my 5km pace that takes 1.5hrs to complete, we definitely have to arrive at Marina Barrage by 8am to start our run. Official flag off is at 7.30am. We were the last to arrive and start our run but Lil' Junior was excited to run so I let him run since I could see him through my phone app, so he's allowed to be on his own. If anything else, he hates it when I ping his phone because it gives off a loud noise even if his phone is on silent mode.
Me and BabyK met him halfway through our first kilometre and took some photos. Then we went our way before we meet again at the halfway point but Lil' Junior only had 800m left to go to complete his run. Hahahaha. I am such a tortoise while my eldest completes his 5km run in 45 mins while it takes me double the time.

At the 1km mark, it starts to rain, like really really rain. When we arrived, the rain had stopped though. So I asked BabyK if he wants to continue or we can detour and head back to the starting point. He said, "Can I continue Mummy? You okay to continue? If you cannot, then we can go back."
Told him I am okay and we can continue the walk in the rain. And I had fun talking with BabyK since I could not do so when the younger boys are around. Second child always holds a special place in your heart they say but all my boys have a quarter of mine each! Hehehehe! He talks about alot of stuff such as why he's happy, what makes him sad and those times he comforts me saying, "Mummy, you okay?"
Just like little 오빠, BabyK too loves taking photos and if he could, he wanted to take photos with everything he sees but due to the rain, told him that we can't as my phone will get water in and spoil. So he settled only for a few including the kilometer marks which became our motivation to continue our journey to the finish line!
I love our walk for that because we sang, we joked on his Dad jokes, talked about flowers we saw and how they're the same with the ones we have at home including the animals such as otters. And how he almost gave up with just 300m to the finishing line because he was sad that we couldn't see the 4km mark - since they already packed up even before 9am while the race was supposed to end at 9.35am!
