Just a normal day to the hospital as per usual, what's new on my leave days - solely dedicated for the boys checkups and etc.
But on the last visit, it was a special one - 1st April 2021.
Lil' Junior had his second cast removed and changed to a splint instead for the next 4 weeks. He was so excited since it can be removed and could wash his hands now.
While waiting for his appointment slot with the Occupational Therapist in the afternoon, we went for a short trip to a place called Artify Studio located at Textile Centre.
It was a 6 minutes drive from the hospital and upon reaching, we got our hands down and started painting.
Oh wait! Forgot to tell you what kind of place it was. Hehehe.
Its an arts studio hidden on the 12th storey of the building but its a cosy place to chill your mind and express yourself through painting.

Lil' Junior loves to draw but he's never been that interested except that me being the Mum who loves to let her boys explore all kinds of stuffs, still brought him along and let him paint.
He chose a picture from the Kids Only Folder, Summer Waves by JCHIS.

A simple picture but not an easy one for someone like Lil' Junior who's never tried acrylic painting before.
We had 2.5 hours to paint so I told him to paint the base first while I started off and finished mine.
15 mins in and he said he's feeling bored so I helped and assist him for awhile before I went on to finish up my painting for the next 1.5hrs.
Yup! Done mine in 90 minutes. Heeee. I did free hand though, no reference.

I then went on to finish off the top part of Lil' Junior's painting before he saw me starting the bottom base and said, "Mummy, can I paint a pirate ship?"
I looked at him and said, "Sure, why not! Its your painting."
With cast on his hand, he took a paintbrush and hold on to it the writer style, started stroking and got the final result for his pirate ship and turtles!

Once we're done, we went off to grab a bite and Lil' Junior said, " Mummy, today's my treat okay?"
He saw the 7-11 store and we went in, grabbed cup noodles and bottled drinks, settled down and had our late lunch. Oh, he paid for them all btw. The very first time he treats me a meal with his own money - he's super proud of it, went home and told the grandmother about it. And I am definitely proud of him too!

We went back to the hospital after, took a bus instead to kill time - a 17 mins ride.
Got his cast changed to a splint and we headed home~~
